Welcome to 'We empower uS bH'

This project brings together people with disabilities, self-help organisations and vocational rehabilitation centres in order to jointly develop a support concept for young people with spina bifida and hydrocephalus.

This project brings together people with disabilities, self-help organisations and vocational rehabilitation centres in order to jointly develop a support concept for young people with spina bifida and hydrocephalus.

The basis of this work is the empowerment-oriented approach.

Existing medical studies and publications on disability symptoms will, for the first time, be used for the further development of the occupational training concept.

Self-determination and participation in working life will be central reference points in the project.

It is also planned to ask those involved, who are the “experts of their own affairs”, to conduct a future workshop (Zukunftswerkstatt).

Self-determination and participation in working life will be central reference points in the project. The project supports young people with disabilities by means of professional counselling by identifying occupational development possibilities.

Peer counselling will be used as an empowerment instrument.
